Hi ITSABOY, I’m 12 weeks pregnant right now, I have HBP and also on medication (Apo-Methyldopa) my doctor told me that it’s safe to take while you’re pregnant and a number 1 choice of medication for treating gestational hypertension. But yes off course, still a part of you worries if the baby is going to be ok. I’m still hoping and praying that everything will be fine bet. Me and the baby. Diet is also a big part of it…that’s why I’m also seeing a dietician (high risk pregnancy) right now. I think your going to be fine. As long as doctors keeping eye on you it should be ok….just relax and enjoy your boy (I a__sumed?????)You’ll never know what will happen 2-3 yrs from now, maybe you may not need any medication by then if everything is under control. Take care…bye

I am on labetelol for high blood pressure. There are several choices of medications that doctors consider relatively safe for pregnancy. If your first is only 2 months old, watch it for a while and see if it eventually goes down. maybe it still will, since it's not always immediate after the baby is born.
