I also still have excessive thirst...Everytime I drink its like the first drink Ive had in days...and Ive even thought maybe I had a UTI...I pee often not always alot. My next OB appt in in a week, so If I can wait I will...but could I have GD. Im not overweight... Thx for any info. Im just so tired of feeling funky.

They usually test for GD around 24 - 28 weeks... before then it is hard to diagnose...Being over weight has nothing to do with whether you will get GD or not. I guess for now all you can do is tell your doctor what you are experiencing and see what they are willing to do about it. Maybe they will try testing you early.

You can be diagnosed with it at anytime during pregnancy.... you should have a urine dip at every OB visit... does it show sugar in your urine? Next visit ask if they will do a random glucose check. If it's really bothering you.... ask if you can just come in and leave a urine sample for them to do a dip on. It takes a matter of seconds to test.... they will be able to tell immediately if you're spilling glucose (sugar). PS I work at an OB/GYN medical office.
