I had a D&C sept 1st. I was wondering how long does it take for your hcg levels to go back down to 0?

I had a D&C in Aug 16, 05. I saw my doctor again the 23. He told us that we could start trying agian right away if we wanted to. I asked him how long it would take my hormaone levels to go down. I was afraid if I thought I got pregnant right away, I couldn't realy on a home test. He told me that within a couple of weeks, they should be at a non pregnant level. He said that they should decline a lot faster with a D&C than if I had pa__sed the baby on my own. I am sorry for your loss. It was hard on me, and still is, and I wouldn't wish what I went through on anyone! I hope everything turns out good for you.....I posted my whole story on the ***getting pregnant after a miscarriage*** thread. I am having a difficult time. I was 10 weeks we think and I had an ultrasound which confirmed my miscarraige, but I couldn't see the baby very well. I wish I had gotten to see it better and I wish I knew how far along I was. I wish I knew what the s_x was so I could give my baby a name. Well enough sadness, we are trying again. I just got my first period so I will have something to by for my next pregnancy. My doctor siad he expected to see us pregnant again by the end of the year. That sounds like such a long wait, but then again it is only four months left to get pregnant again. I don't want to disappoint him. Well I am not worried about him, I am worried about me. He was so supportive and very understanding. He gave my husband and I a hug after we found out I was losing the baby. He said all the right things and let us cry. Well I hope you get good news. I hope to get good news soon.....
