hi everyone. im not sure if im having an early m\c or not. you see im 5 days late from my period and ive had most of the pregnancy symptoms. Now i am bleeding which started off brown and went red and more heavy, (which happens in af anyways) oh and just thought id mention that i am never late, NEVER. ive only been late once in my lifetime and that was when i found out i was preggers last time, which also ended in m\c at 2mths. I passed a little bit of tissue then. i was just wondering if you m\c at about 4 weeks n a couple of days if anyone knows what the clotting is like and if u pass much tissue. i am passing small black clots at teh moment. have cramps and lower back pain. i was hoping not to go to the doctor until i knew for sure. (dont want to make an idiot of myself for him to tell me it is just a late period or something) i aslo had faint positive results which i thought could just be evap lines. can anyone help me please. anyone who has had a m\c this early i would be so greatful if someone could tell me what it was like. thankyou soo much xx ;o)

Hello- Im sorry to hear you are going through this! The early stages of preg are so nerve wrecking and the most unsure of times... I had a mc myself a couple of years ago it would've been at about 5 weeks but for some reason I didn't physically m/c until some time later! When I did I had cramping and some tummy contractions and spent most of the time on the bed. When I went to the toilet this is when it happened:-( It felt very strange I can tell you, but I knew what was happening. There was blood, and tissue clotting. The fact that you are seeing clots is not a very good sign - and the fact that you already suspect may prepare you for it. I hope I am wrong! I really do. Go to your Dr if you want a fast answer. A scan will give that to you okay. Dont suffer alone with it - no one will think you are an idiot! Stay as strong as you can...

thankyou for your reply carol. im still clotting, but have pa__sed no tissue at all. they say alot of m\c this early are often confused with an a\f because its only a couple of days late. somehow i cant confuse mine with that. i have the clots. and its silly, ive been through this before but i cant really remember what went on. yeh i had the clots and that-cant remember what they were like though, i can remember pa__sing my first bit of tissue and that was when they doctors took over and took teh rest out. so i really dont know what to expect, expecially at 4 weeks and a couple of days. It is deffinately not a normal preiod that is for sure. do u pa__s tissue at all this early in a prregnancy? is that why it is confused with a\f? thats what i dont understand. ive got a ma__sive headache, and the cramps have stopped and the backache. but still the bleeding and all that. my pg symptoms are stopped- b___sts arent tender and all the rest. But i do feel very nausiated (mabye because of my headache??) i dont know but any help would be great. again, thankyou for your reply carol. it means alot to me xx

Kandi - The clotting doesn't sound too good... If it were just straight bleeding and nothing more regardless of colour then my response would be different. Mainly because when I was pregnant with my daughter for the first few weeks on and off I bled! And I worried like hell. I really believed more than once that it was over-it was horrible. But I never had the clotting etc...So that worries me. Please go and see your Dr and ask for an u/sound for peace of mind. You need to know to save yourself some stress! I'm hoping for the best for you! Let me know what comes of it okay?

ok thanks carol. i probably wont be able to get into the doctors until early next week. do you think they could still tell if i was preg in the first place? because id really hate to be worrying like this over just a weird period or something. even though im 90% sure what is going on. my clots are only small and are black in colour and sometimes even the blood is black and gluey sortof (sorry tmi) when you bled with your daughter was their heaps or not really? mine is like the heavy day of af

Kandi - When I first started bleeding with my Daughter it looked so black, very dark then it gradually went to a red which is why I thought it was the end.I dont think it was heavy though. But as I said there weren't any clots... See your Dr on Monday and try and get in on the Tuesday. If they muck around see another Dr maybe. All the best...

I am sorry to hear you are going through this. I have had 8 miscarriages throughtout my life, and it is very difficult. I hate to say that all the symtoms you are describing sounds like you are, but I had many full term deliveries that I did bleed all the way threw. It is always a good idea to see a dr. because you could have other problems going on that they can see. You don't have to be worried about feeling stupid going in, because this is what they do day in and day out. They can at least find out if you are having a miscarriage, why, or what you can do in the future to help. Also, if you are pregnant, you may just be showing low progesterone levels or HCG levels, that the dr. could supplement for you if the pregnancy should need it. So, please see your OB as soon as you can so they can help you. And take care of yourself, my thoughts and prayers are with you!

I did forget to mention, it might be a good idea to get another home pregnancy test, the kind that read out PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT. That way you do not have to mess with looking for the faint line. Those, I feel, are the most accurate. Also, the doctors office can do bloodwork, even without a dr's appt to check your HCG levels. If they are over 20 you are pregnant, and they can get a baseline even if they are over that number to see next week if the HCG #'s are going up or down. The urgent care offices can also do this to! Try to give yourself some piece of mind one way or the other, and see someone as soon as you can. Good Luck!!!
