Placenta Preavia

I'm ending my 14th week, with placenta preavia or in other words a low lying placenta. I'm on bed rest for two weeks and the doctor is hoping as the baby is growing the placenta will move up. I have bleeding but not heavly. Has anyone ever gone trough the same things and came out with a healthy baby??? This is our first baby.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and have a low lying placenta. I had bleeding from 6 - 9 weeks with a week in hospital and bed rest for 10 weeks. I just spent the past 3 days in hospital again with bleeding. I'm now back on bedrest, but the baby is fine and it's only a small bleed. Still hoping the placenta will move, but planning on having a C section. My mother had the same problem and a number of friends. All was well with their babies. I'm feeling very positive and I wish you all the best.

I was diagnosed with tis but it was at 29weeks and after a bleed. I delivered early at 34weeks but the placenta had moved by then and it was a normal delivery. Don;t panic just yet as there is a lot of growing to do and it should move as your womb expands. Just take it easy and keep an eye on the bleeding. Good luck and congratulations on your little one!
