Pregnancy Loss

For the first five weeks of my pregnancy i was going out every Friday and drinking - i didn't know i was pregnant. I had a miscarriage at seven and a half weeks. I still feel guilty. Did the alcohol have something to do with it or was the pregnancy doomed from the beginning?

This is a very hard topic, because as told by my doctor there isnt ANYTHING you can really do to make you self miscarry. Its natures choice and the drinking probably had nothing to do with it. Your body miscarries a pregnancy that was never right, for whatever reason, to begin with, atleast that what I was told my a professional. A lot of people think too much caffiene, stress, or poor eating habits, or drug/alcohol use made them miscarry, wrong. Although taking care of yourself should be top priority. I wouldn't beat your self up over it, it wasn't your fault, and those drink every Friday night, DID NOT make you miscarry. Maybe your body wasn't ready to be pregnant, or the embryo was damaged or not developed correctly therefore, leading to the bodys abortion, or aka miscarriage. Have faith and everything happens for a reason...
