I miscarried on 6th week on 13th February. Today I had follow up appointment with my gynac, she said I am good to try again. My Progesterone levels are low so she advised me to take natural Progesterone supplement (va___al). I should insert the supplement after 2 days of ovulation. Has anyone heard of this before? Is this safe? Does this help ? I am tooconfused, I had never heard of this before.

Hi, Mona. I found out I was pregnant after a week of spotting but no real period. When I called the doc and told him I had a pos test and was also spotting, he checked my progesterone level. It was at 18, which I think is good, but because of the spotting he p[ut me on progesterone supplements. I took them orally, but I they are the same drug. I did have a few other days with spotting since then. I stopped taking the supplement at the end of 12 weeks and I am now 18 weeks and everything is fine. My sono showed a healthy baby boy with all his parts. There is some contraversy as to whether taking progesterone actually helps or not, but the research shows that it doesnt hurt anything, so if it could help, its worth it. God luck to you.
