Ok, Im 26 weeks, and since about the 18th week I've been able to feel my baby move or kick everyday. Here lately from about 22 weeks on she's been kicking like crazy everyday. But the last 3 or 4 days I've barely felt anything...No kicks, and what I do feel Im not sure if its really the baby or just gas...Im just wondering if I should call the doctor seeing as I have an appt next week and they usually don't make you worry about that until 28 weeks...Im just really worried and not sure what to do..Any suggestions or stories would be appreciated!!

If it is very unusual for you, I would definitely call a Dr. and see if they will maybe just bump up your appointment. You should trust your instincts-- you know your body best. If something feels like it is not right, demand to be seen. Better to be over-reacting than under-reacting.

During week 26 for me I had a three or four day period when I barely felt a thing, maybe a swish or two. My little girl had been active forever then suddenly stopped. I worried like mad to the point where I said, if I don't feel her soon I am calling my doctor, lo and behold she started again. What I suggest is first, try everything you can that typically gets babies going, fruit juice, especially orange, grapefruit, cranberry, or any tart juices. Try soda pop, or a sugary snack. Play the stereo or put some headphones on your belly, and turn the music up to a reasonable volume, sometimes it startles them a bit and gets them going. Jiggle your belly gently a few times, or after you sugary snack, try laying on either side. If none of these things works, call your doctors office when you can and get yourself set up for a peace of mind appointment. Try not to worry, I know those little ones are good at making us do that. I hope and pray all is well!

Oh yes and it is true, better safe then sorry, if you really feel like you need to be seen asap, call right away instead of doing the tests I mentioned because not all babies are the same!

Thank you for you responses! Im calling tomorrow to see if they can move up my appointment. I tried eating some cookies and laying on my side and still didn't feel any kicks..I felt something, but I couldn't tell if it was her or gas!! Sometimes its hard to tell..Im sure everythings fine, but to be on the safe side hopefully they'll get me in earlier! Thanks again!
