I'm 36 weeks and scared of labor and delivery. I'm worried about the baby is she going to be O.K., am I going to be O.K., all the things that can happen. Anyone else scared or think of all this stuff? I feel crazy sometimes when I start thinking about all this.

I hjad my daughter in Aug of 04. I was scared of labor too. I do not do pain well. I couldn't even handle menstral cramps sometimes. I had a 42 hour labor and I am doing fine. I was scared of all the things that could go wrong during labor too. I waited for so long for the baby and I loved it already. I won't scare you with thte details, but everything was fine. More oftern than not it is fine. I don't remember the pain, just the joy of childbirth. I would do it all over again and once you do it, you would do it all over again for your baby. My advise is to think positive. Trust your doctors and nurses and try to relax. The more relaxed you are, the easier it will be for both you and your new baby. It is painful, but once you hold your baby in your arms, you will forget all about your pain and fears. There will only be that little precious baby to worry about. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I wish you a quick labor and a healthy baby.
