Umbilicord Problems

well just found out that the umbilicord is on the side of my placenta, and the doctor said it should be in the middle, is the baby going to be okay or what will happen????

hi ..wow my doctor said the same thing .and said it is not anything to worry about..she said she will give me one more ultrasound..to check growth..but i know whe is growing just fine!

I would recommend that your doctor schedule you for a doppler ultrasound to rule out velamentous cord insertion. When identified early, your doctor can schedule you for a C section which has a much higher success rate. I am not a doctor, but did lose my baby at 39 weeks due to velamentous cord insertion. It can't hurt to have your doctor check for this. Keep me posted. Hope this helps.
