I would try to talk to a different doctor just to make sure, but brown blood does mean old blood, so it definatly makes sense that it could just be reminants clearing out. Good luck

I had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago and i am still bleeding. I went to the Drs yesterday and i have been put on antibiotics, i have been told that if i am still bleeding in 5 days to go back as this could mean i am pregnant or there is still something inside that hasn't come away yet. I can't be pregnant as i haven't been near my husband since as i am so scared of all this happening again.

I would change drs if you are not comfortable with your care. I had a d&c on June 29 and quit bleeding seven days later.

I had a D&C about 5 weeks ago after abortion drug that nearly killed me. I have been to 3 doctors that told me I have a bladder infection nobody checked my uterus. Today after being on 2 different types of antibiotics I went to doctor with same symptoms. Doctor said it was a uteral infection. I only bled 4 days after D&C and thats why the doctors said they didn't think it was my uterus. I could develop a syndrome called Ashermans from this.

I bled for 5 weeks after my D&C. I had two D&C's 4 days apart b/c the first one missed so much material I was bleeding like crazy and had to be admitted to the hospital for another one. I then contracted a infection from all of the proking and proding down there and the Dr's thought I may loose my fertility all-together. But, once all the bleeding stopped I had 3 normal cycles, and now without even trying, I am pregnant again (7 weeks tommorrow). Call the dr if you think you should, if it will help you relax. They are professionals and should be used to patients calling regarding surgeries. But bleeding for some time after the surgery is very normal. good luck and I'm sending many good thoughts your way!

Congrats Amber, It was hard losing the baby and now Im scared that my fertility will be affected. What were your symptoms of a uteral infection and how did your doctor determine that it was your uterus infected?Doctors before gave me a urine test and doctor today did a urine test and internal with his fingers. I was sore when he was feeling around, but it always hurt when they give me internals. I don't understand how checking with his fingers he could tell if there was a uteral infection you would think that my cervix would be in the way. Im sorry if my questions seem dumb, but Im trying to fiqure this out and I don't have a clue.Did book appointment on Wednesday 13 with Obgyn, but its driving me crazy until then.
