Hi Mavis - January 10

Just wanted to let you know of a lady that has a 3 month old and is 6 weeks pregnant, so there is definitely hope. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your baby and send you good wishes in falling pregnant and having a healthy baby to hold.

Mavis, I am sure you will become pregnant, and go on to have a healthy baby. I was told that women who suffer miscarriages (at any stage of pregnancy) are better off than women who have serious fertility issues. I know we suffer a terrible loss, but at least the good news is that we know that we can become pregnant in the first place. I say, be patient. Wait until all of your pregnancy hormones completely dissapear and that may take a while since you were pretty far along. After your hormones go away, you should get a period a few weeks after that (I don't want to give specifics because everyone is different). Once you establish one or two regular cycles, I am pretty sure you can try again. Check with the doctor, of course. Have your follow ups and just make sure that YOU are healthy first. Remember, you want your body to be a healthy home to grow your next baby, so make sure it's fit to live in!!!

I gave birth to my daughter on August 11th. I got my first period on her due date, 5 1/2 weeks after I had her. My doc gave me the okay to start trying 8 weeks after I gave birth. We've been trying but I'm not pregnant yet. I hope this helps.

I think I ovulated on my second cycle. It took awhile for my body to get back to normal. My friend however got bfp the next cycle after her m/c. Good luck to you!

Hi Mavis, I gave birth to my daughter who pa__sed during delivery due to cystic Hygroma and fetal hydrops 7 weeks ago.She was concieved after a miscarriage at 12 weeks in June. I must have ovulated 2 weeks after miscarriage and then again at 6 weeks post miscarriage, because I did get pregnant right away. I lost two babies this year, but the second was not related to concieving too soon after a miscarriage. i wish you the best of luck!

To the person who was coward enough to NOT leave her name, I asked a simple question. No need to start any trouble here. I'm not here to cause problems, ok? Please leave me alone and don't post any negativity here anymore.

Mavis - i dont think that comment was ment for you. it was ment for Lilu because of the post about no pregnant women but that wasnt Lilu either that was Lily so i wouldnt let it worry you. anyway i am so sorry for your loss, i had a natural miscarriage and had to give birth a 17 weeks on 22nd Sept. my next period was 29th October then 30th November. i was ment to wait for 3 cycles but fell again December. Now i have had another M/c last week but they have given me the all clear to start again. i didnt want to wait and still dont but i now wish i had of given it that little bit longer than losing again. everyone is different though so i guess you have to follow your instinct and as long as mentally and physically you feel ready. i wish you luck x

Hi Mavis.. I ovulated approximately 2 weeks after having my miscarriage which was natural.. No D&C required. I'm pretty much back on track. It will work out for you. Very sorry for your loss. You must be really hurting. Good luck to you.

Mavis, I am very sorry for your loss. I lost my second dd at 36 weeks. I also felt anxious to start ASAP. I just wanted to still be pregnant sooo bad. My DR told me we could start the next month but as time went by and also because of fear, we ended up waiting. Anyway, after about 1 cycle after the whole thing, I was back on track with AF so you might want to wait until you have a normal cycle so your body can get back to "normal". I know that they say getting pregnant too soon after delivery can cause problems.

Lynne - January 16

I would wait at least 2 or 3 cycles just to let your body get back to normal. Good luck to you, and I wish you the best.

Bethany - January 17

Mavis I am so sorry for your loss. How far along were you? I was over 4 months. I would wait at least 2 cycles so your body can get back to normal from your pregnancy. keep in touchandgood luck to you!
