I had a miscarriage 9 weeks ago. I was 15 weeks along. I have posted several times here since my miscarriage and I have found great hope in reading the words of others here and your opinions would be really helpful! I have been tracking my first morning temps ever since my last af (first since miscarriage) My temps have just been all over the place. They went up a few different times and I kept thinking I had ovulated but then after a couple of days they would go way back down again. Do you think I'm not ovulating and if so when can I expect my next af then? I am on cd 28. This has been so difficult for me, I just want a little baby to bring home and raise!

Can I'm so sorry about your loss. I can totally relate to your feelings of wanting to bring your little one home! I have lost two, and some days I think it will never happen. Hang in there! I hope this year brings you lots of joy in the baby department. Regarding your question: If you did not see a clear thermal shift that stayed high until a next period (which it sounds like hasn't happened yet), it could be that you just didn't ovulate this month. I would think that might be fairly common after your miscarriage, as things are getting back into place, but it is a little worrisome that you've already had your first af and still no ovulation. I might wait to see if a new period comes and then give it one more month. How long are your cycles normally? If you keep not having a period this month, I'd go in and have them check you out to make sure you are ovualting and everything is getting back on track. It could also be that your ovulation is just going to be delayed this month as your body readjusts. I know of many women who had super long cycles for the first month or two after miscarriage and then they straightened out. Do you monitor your cervical fluid or use opks or anything else in conjunction with temping?

Thank you so much for your response. My cycles are normally 32 or 33 days. Before my last miscarriage we had been ttc for 7 months and I was tracking my temps and using the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor. I would always see af 2 weeks after ovulation. I was also monitoring my cm this month but I don't think I had egg white mucus... but I just don't know. I have also read on this site about women having REALLY long cycles but I just hope that is not the case because I just want to be normal so we can try again! Thank you so much for your advice. I think I'll wait and see what happens over the next week and then I'll call the doctor if it is still not making sence. Thanks.

I think that sounds like a smart plan! Good luck to you, I hope your cycles get down to a nice 28 days. :-)
