I just wanted to know how long you should wait to try again after having a D&C? I went for a check up yesterday and was suposed to be 14 weeks well the baby had died sometime in the last two weeks. They diagnosed it a couple of weeks ago having a cystic hygroma. I want a baby so bad and my daughter that is almost eight can't wait to be a big sister. I am young and hopefully will have no problem conceiving again. How long should I wait??? I go on Friday for the procedure and this will be my second one. I had a baby in 2001 that the heart stopped at 8 weeks justation and now this happened. Any suggestions???

you docotr will most likely schedule another appointment for you to come in two weeks after the procedure and then he or she can tell you if you can start trying again. depending on the procedure and the types of medications your doctor prescribes some say one full cycle some say three. this does not count the bleeding from th d&c. this is so you body can rid itself of any medications that could cause a miscarriage and so that you uterus lining will be enough to support another baby. i feel for you i had a d&e last tuesday becasue my baby had a cystic hygroma and fetal hydrops and had a 0% chance of living.
