Back To Basics Question TTC After MC

I'm wondering if any of you have advice on when to start the official countdown to ovulation. I'm hung up on when to begin because the first two days of my period were brown blood. I didn't have red blood until day three, so is that the day I started my period or would you count the first sight of any kind of blood as the first day of your period? I have all the nerves of getting pregnant again, but am trying to stay positive knowing that I'm doing everything I can to be in prime pregnant shape and that what happens if I do get pregnant will ultimately not be up to me... hoping that helps me to relax and conceive again soon. Thanks.

Erin, I am sorry for your loss. I have had two m/c since Februrary and getting ready to ttc again this month. I feel like you do about doing only what I can and staying positive. Anyway, the first day of your cycle is the day you see normal, red blood, not spotting. When you say "brown blood" I a__sume that spotting is what you mean as usually there isn't a lot of brown blood. You should pretty much see it only when you wipe (though a little may work itself to your panties). Anyway, CD1 is the first day of actual bleeding (and my fertility software says the same thing since I just had two days of spotting before AF came and they set CD1 as the day the actual bleeding began). Hope that helps. Good luck and baby dust.

Thank you for your helpful response. I really wasn't sure, but feel more comfortable now that I have a better grasp on it. Thanks!
