Can You Still Test Positive And Have Symptoms After You M C

I have a few questions if you don't mind... Does anyone know if miscarriages are hereditary?? My mother had two - one was a molar pregnancy. Last weekend I tested positive twice.. since then, I've noticed a little pouch belly... bloated, cramps, an appet_te and can't stay up past nine. I know I'm prego, but I'm concerned I might still have symptoms but have miscarried. I took another ept this morning and it's still positive, but I hate the fact I have to wait another 18-days before my first ultrasound... any advice?? Also, if anyone knows the math - I haven't had a period for 8 months (Jan. 2005)... but I had a pelvic ultrasound July 28th to check my uterus and lining to try and see why I didn't have a period. I went home at lunch and tried with my husband for a baby for the first time because everything checked out normal. We cont. everyday since.. well, until I found I was prego.. that stopped in an instant! So... no one knows how far along I am??? I can't be more than five weeks if I conceived the first time - but I did test positive then at about 4 wks and felt symptoms at 4.5 wks - does that sound right?

I don't believe that they are hereditary. There are no miscarriage in my family until I had one June 7th. The ultrasound should be able to tell you how far along you are.
