Cervical Mucus Part 2 Lots Of TMI

Just thought that other thread was getting way to long, it has been a very popular thread and hope it continues so because it's the 1 thread where there is no such thing as TMI !

suzzieq - March 22

Great idea Delta, I was hoping someone would start a new one! It is a very thorough thread and very informative, we definately need this one!!

kc - March 22

Delta, yay!! Good luck tonight! I know what you mean about keeping up the excitement. My dh and I have to separate the two, bding and making love. bd'ing for us (being that it's on a timed schedule, without the least bit of spontaneity) is just all about business...it's so funny. we tried at first to make it more romantic, but after awhile we just decided to embrace the fact that it might be a bit mechanical...after all, we have a job to do! I mean, how romantic can it be when as soon as the deed is over, instead of snuggling I'm telling him to hurry up and grab a pillow so that I can prop my hips up (to keep the swimmers in there)!! LOL ok, wayyy TMI. lol Suzzie, I saw on your post on the previous thread that you were afraid you'd missed your o. Did you see any fertile cm during the past week?

Morrison1 - March 22

Hey Girls! Good to hear everyone is doing well. DELTA - I will be keeping fingers crossed for you tonight!!! It' s OK if it's a little mechanical. We have our whole lives to make love...but the clocks'a tickin' for makin' babies! Ha! So, DH is SIIIICK. After a week out of town and a weekend in Aspen, he is just plain ill. I am hoping I don't get it too, but if I do, I will draaag myself up off the pillow long enough to opk and bd. Throat is a bit scratchy, so...ugh! AF is pretty much moving into the light/spotting phase already (I am blessed with light periods), so I should be able to start checking cm soon. I haven't missed a temp DELTA, you would be proud! I am very excited about this month for all of us!! KC - I still have not received my order from babywishes - which I placed on the 9th. I have called them and they are supposed to be doing "something" about it...but I think I am going to bite the bullet and take a trip to Rite Aid. It sounds like the digitals are cheaper there then they are at Walgreens. I just keep hearing everyone having trouble with the paper strips, so I figure it's worth it. SUSAN - I didn't see anything about the u/s? Suzzie - you are a DIE HARD cm'er! That's awesome! Ok...about to crash on the sofa with DH and take some airborne!! Just watch...it'll be just my luck that I end up sick on the weekend. Grrr.

Hey girls. Well I didn't produce as much cm as I had before the m/c. Though I didn't know what it was then, but there was more..lol! I had a couple days that I felt sooo wet I thought for sure my undies would be soaked, tmi! Then I had some that would stretch a short distance, then some lotiony type that formed peaks when I tried to stretch it. Now it is just wet around cervix and has no consistancy at all. My opks have been negative, I have been using them since cd10 and used my last one tonight. Morrison, I am just trying to get this stuff figured out and the only way to do that is to "Just Do It"..lol!! I am going to do what it takes to concieve natrually, I had a bad experience with Clomid and said I would never take a fertility drug again. Hope you and dh feel better. My dh is sick with a very bad sore throat and fever. I hope that doesn't affect his sperm!!

suzzieq - March 23

OK ladies here with another, probably stupid, question! Dh and I bd last night, this morning when I checked cm and cp I got some, I think ewcm. I know I read in a thread somewhere that ejac and cm look similar. But does ejac. stretch? Also there was a couple very small specks of blood in it, does that mean anything?

Susan W - March 23

SUZZI, I didn't get to check the boards last night, but my thought this morning when I read the last thread was to just hang in there and keep trying and watching. Your description didn't sound like you had o'd yet. But your post this morning makes me think that you might be getting closer. Check later today, after the bding fluids clear a bit, and see what you see. I don't know what I would do about opks. They sound confusing, but it is kind of fun (as a watcher) to see when they correlate to what you are finding regarding cm and cp. If you feel like picking some up and have the money to spend, I'd do it, just for fun. It might help you to understand what you are seeing when you know you are having an LH surge, so you know what your body does during that time. But I don't think I would get too worked up over them. . . .. MORRISON, the u/s was a-ok. We found an 8w4d baby (which means I conceived right when I thought I did) right off with a fabulous hb of 176. No explanation for the bleeding, which my midwife said last night we will just monitor. That is still disconcerting, and every time I see some, I remind myself to not panic by looking at the picture they gave us of the little baby. It takes a weight off, but I do still have a little worry in the back of my mind that something could still go wrong in the next 4 weeks or so, but I feel like I finally have 'permission' to love this baby. As we were driving to the u/s place, I was so upset that this baby could have been gone and nobody ever loved it, and how would I deal with that kind of guilt? I was able to sleep pretty well last night, for the first time since the bleeding started, and I actually overslept this morning by about 20 minutes! But I sure hope you don't get sick too! What I purely do not enjoy is having a sick DH, who acts like a big baby, while I'm sick too. That's miserable, and I hope you are spared that . . . .. What I might do, at some point, is go get the posts on the basics of cm and put them here so new people can read them and understand how to do what we're talking about, but I won't do it until we get someone new who asks, rather than retyping everything. And I liked the new t_tle -- those who aren't comfortable with all this know to stay away.

suzzieq - March 23

Susan, I didn't know they gave you a picture, thats a wonderful thing to have now!! Go ahead and love that baby!!! I think I may pick up some more tests, as you say so that I can correspond with the other things I am doing, and for the fun of it!!! This site is tmi but like you say often, so many women have no idea what they are experiencing and why so if they would just check out the thread to get a bit of understanding it would be good for them.

Hi Ladies, I hope you don't mind my dropping in. HI DELTA and MORRISON, (chat buddies on ttc in your 30's), but I haven't had the pleasure of chatting with the rest of you. I have a specific question about cm and since TMI is okay here and you "specialize" in cm discussions..lol ..I thought I'd post. Just to give you alittle info about me, I'm 36 yrs old, married 31/2yrs, m/c on the 11of Dec-1st try, no kids, ttc this week/end and I live in Canada. Okay, I'm blushing but here goes the question. DH and I bd last night as I believe "o" is approaching this weekend sometime. (Since m/c things are still somewhat off). I checked my cm and cp this morn. My cm is really stretchy, pretty thick and sort of cloudy looking and cp seems pretty high and soft. I know SUZZIE mentioned ejac looking similar. Would ejac still be in there this morn and what would it look like if it was still there. I've checked twice this morn a few hours apart and still the same thing? I did an opk yesterday (first time using them this month) and it was neg. I will test again this afternoon but I was curious about the stretchy cm. I've never known it to be sort of cloudy ( ever so slight tinge of yellow) and I'm really not sure about how long s____n stays up there. I appreciate any input you might have. Thanks ever so much. Sue

kc - March 23

Hi Suebee, it sounds like you may have ewcm mixed in with ejac. I've never really known ejac to be stretchy (not that I'm claiming to be an expert on it though - lol), but it is thick and cloudy. I believe that usually ewcm is clear. Maybe your surge is right around the corner! I had ewcm for 2 days and then it went away completely and an opk showed a surge for me two days later. I don't know if that's normal for me (I thought that usually my ewcm came closer to my surge), but I'm probably all screwy since my m/c in late Feb.

suzzieq - March 23

Susan, you were absolutely right, I hadn't oed yet, but I will be very very soon. If you didn't read my other post, I did get more sticks, not digitals, same brand as before, and got a BFP right off the bat, no need to wait the 5 minutes..LOL!!! What would I do without you!! Though I haven't noticed anymore cm, but cp is still very high and very wet and slick around it. Now is just the question of if I will really ovulate since doc thinks I won't. Get my blood results tomarrow. And i forget Susan, did you ever mention if you feel something going on when you are about to or have oed? I just ask because for the past like 2 and half days I have hd this nagging feeling on my side lower side. Never felt before, but like everything else, never paid much attention to either! Oh gosh, I am letting this excitement get carried away I think, but I just can't stop it! Plus now I want to prove my doctor wrong about this whole under 5 thing!!

deltabwa - March 23

lol SUZZIE - i will tell ya that i have had the same kinda of twinge on the left side for 2 days. not so bad today but 2 days previous. my bbs are also achy. so since i am in the same boat i think that is O pains. SUEBEE - Jump right on in :-) i'm not the expert but SUSAN says 12 hrs is when ejac fluid leaves. my cm is not cleary, ive noticed this month, and end of last month, but this was the first month i noticed ewcm, it was definately not clear, not really even cloudy, somewhere between cloudy and white. ejac, ive read, is more white. heres something from FF. fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Distinguishing_Semen_and_Cervical_Fluid.html that should help some. ive seen another website recently, ill have to look if that doesnt help ya any.

deltabwa - March 23

SUE- heres another thing i found if this helps any. ...... Fertile, egg-white mucus should stretch repeatedly in only one of two strands. Semen tends to be a little cloudier, and often stretches in several spiderweb-like strands. You may be able to stretch it a few times, but then it will begin to break. ...... now i got to thinkin.. my ewcm was not at all thin. it was definiately thick, stretched real far so didnt think it was s____n but now that ive re-read some of this i wonder..... it would kinda clump together after it broke, but again, it was the 1 strand thing and very thick and stretched very far so now i wonder..... hmmmmmm

deltabwa - March 23

I am going to post this, unfortunately it wasnt near the top or in the post. I know you mentioned it SUSAN but i think ill cap it all so newbies to the thread will notice it. if you feel it's wrong SUSAN, or have anything to add, feel free but i think capping it is a good idea.

deltabwa - March 23

i almost posted something but then started wondering if i am actually not allowed to post it due to copyright stuff and c___p... so i think instead I will post the link in caps... not nearly as good but until i hear otherwise i think it will have to do.

KC and DELTA, thanks very much for your input. It's now looking normal so I'm confident that it's my fertile cm. I think o is around the corner like you said. DELTA, good luck this week. Keep me updated as were both on the same cycle, cd14 today right? Oh, and thanks for the website info. Very helpful!!! Thanks again for letting me drop in ladies. Take care!
