Did I Have A Miscarriage

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about six months. Because I have irregular menstual cycles (35-50 days), I have been charting by BBT and ovulation tests to detect ovulation. During my last cycle, when I still had not started my period at the 50th day and three pregnancy tests came back negative, I took Provera for seven days to start my period. During the next cycle I started experiencing pregnancy symptoms (fatigue, high BB temperatures, extremely sore and enlarged br___ts). I did not take a pregnancy test because I wanted to wait until after the 35th day of my cycle. On the 28th day of my cycle I started to spot, pink at first and then brown. On the 29th day I bled like I was having a normal period, with severe cramps. Because I didn't take a PT, I cannot know for sure if this was a miscarriage. My mother had the same experience before she conceived her first child. Any chance I could have miscarried too?

Apparently many women miscarry so early on that they didn't even know they were pregnant in the first place because they just have a very heavy period which is a little late. I don't know if an earlier than usual period would indicate the same thing but I could be wrong. If you have taken a medication to bring on a period the month before it might just have messed up your cycle lengths a bit at the moment and you've just had a shorter than you are used to cycle? Maybe the sperm attached to the egg and all was going well but it didn't implant properly into the uterus wall (this happens alot apparently) although from what I've heard if this was the case you wouldn't have bled until time period was due. How long after ovulation did this happen? Was it a different length than it usually is between ovulation and period as I've heard even though the time before ovulation can vary , the time after ovulation before period should always be about the same. It will be interesting to see how your next cycle goes (length especially) Again it might just be an effect of the medication you took. All the best to you I hope you conceive a healthy baby soon! baby dust to you ****

TTC, Thanks for the encouragment! The ovulation prediction test indicated that we should try within the following 24-36 hours on the 17th day of my cycle and the bleeding started on the 28th day. I wish I had not waited to take a pregnancy test, at least I would know for sure whether I was pregnant or not! I plan on asking my OBGYN about it at my next appointment, which is not until mid-June. If she thinks it was a miscarriage, I will post that information too. Thanks again and :)
