Hi, I m/c in Feb due to a blighted Ovum and then had a D&C done. We waited for three months because it was recomemded by my dr. Well, I am pg now to be confirmed by the dr on 8/16 but we are wondering what are the changes of having two consecutive blighted ovums? Thank you and baby dust to all of you...

I would love to know this answer as well. After one blighted ovum I am scared to death of another. Does anyone know anything about this?

You as likely to have a blighted ovum twice as much as you are likely to have any kind of miscarriage twice. One miscarriage is common (1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage) 2 is not so common but can happen as "chance" At 3 doctors say there is usually a medical problem as 3 in a row is no longer "chance"

I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum in Jan. I just this week lost a second pregnancy at exactly the same stage as I lost the one in Jan. at a little over a month. Not sure if it was a blighted ovum because I did not go into the doctor as I was losing this one. I will be following up with my doctor in a few weeks as long as I don't have any unexpected problems. I of course had the same question. When do I start to get concerned? I do have one healthy child with no problems until trying to have a second.

As far as I know, you have about a 75% chance of having a healthy pregnancy. There's still a chance of miscarriage, but just because you had one, it does not increase or decrease your chance of another. Congratulations on your pregnancy :)
