I just want to know how long it took you to get af after the D&E? I had myne on jan 24 and still no af. Is that normal or should i test?

Everyone is different so it could be perfectly normal for AF not to come yet. I m/c at 24 weeks and my AF didnt return for 7 months. But if you are still not sure what harm can it do in testing. Good Luck to you x x kristen

I used dollar tree hpt's to see when my hCG went back down after my d&c, but I was only 9 weeks. After your hCG goes down it's like the beginning of your cycle, and since you were further along than I was you should have had more hCG. I read that it has a half life of about 1 to 3 (different sources had different numbers) days, so if you have some number to go by you can estimate when it should have been near zero and then add your cycle length to that to see when af should visit. 6 to 8 weeks is well within normal. If you use a hpt in the morning, and get a negative, you'll know if one pops + later that it's real and not the leftover hCG... that's why I checked mine too, but didn't get pg 1st O after so it didn't matter too much for me. Hang in there!

1mom; after my second miscarriage/D&C (8 weeks) it took 6 weeks for my af to arrive. Everyone's different - some women take a couple of months for their first af after m/c and/or D&C/E. I am so sorry for your miscarriage, a loss at 17 weeks would have been extremely hard, JuJu
