High Risk

Ok, so since i have my crohns and have had surgery, my doctor (family) says im high risk. I also had a m/c on Feb.5th (1week after 1st u/s--they found no baby, just a sac), i was 13 weeks and had no symptoms of a m/c, no spotting. Im really hoping that i can get into my obgyn (never really met her, only same day as 1st u/s,,,after finding out bad news) sooner than last time. Do you think its perfectly alright for me to ask for an early u/s at 8 weeks or so to hear for a heartbeat?? If i had had one last time, i would have known then that i was gonna m/c, (baby stopped growing at 8 weeks) Oh and if u havent guessed, im pg again! 5weeks. :D

Hi Kira_lynn. Congrats on your new pregnancy! It is perfectly normal to ask for an early u/s - but whether or not you get one depends on your doctor. One of the other girls on this forum just got a BFP and her doctor will not see her until 4/26. I got my BFP on 3/23 and will see my doc for the 3rd time on 4/26 - and I have already had 2 u/s. Call your doc now to see what they'll do for you. Good luck!

Being high risk, I'd a__sume they'd watch you closer and DO an early u/s. You should just talk about this with your OB at your first appt. Congrats and good luck!!
