I Think I M Having A Miscarriage

My period was late, which is unusual for me, so I took a pregancy test. The first came back positive, so I took 3 more and got 2 positives and 2 negatives. The results were confusing enough, but then I started my period. I had severe cramps all day, but I thought maybe I was the victim of false positives and my period was just bad because it was late. After reading a lot on this site though, I really think I had a chemical miscarriage. Its so confusing because I didn't want to be pregnant at first, but then I came to accept it and was crushed when I got my period. Now I just can't help but think its my fault somehow, even though I know its probably not.

Megan it sounds like you may have had what they call a chemical pregnancy, where the egg is fertilised but does not implant in the uterus properly. I am so sorry for the upsetting mixture of emotions you're experiencing-whether you planned the pregnancy or not realising you have lost it is crushing and so upsetting-how late was your period? Please please don't feel what happened is your fault. A chemical pregnancy or an early miscarriage is not caused by the woman-you did not cause this to happen are in no way at fault. Something went wrong when the pregnancy was forming and probably when the cells were dividing (which they do hundred of times before the fertilsed egg reaches the womb) I'm so sorry. Have you seen your doctor since this happened? Take care xxx
