Incompetant Cervix

I have had two children. My daughter was born at 26 wks because of my incompetent cervix. When I was pregnant with my son, I went into labor at 23 weeks, but they were able to stop it. If I get pregnant again, do my chances of having a miscarriage increase?

Sometimes women get a cervical cerclage, which is a st_tch that holds the cervix closed and it is removed right before the due date

Hi niki, my son was born at 24 weeks but sadly he didn't make it, i miss him a lot . How did they find out that you had an incompetant cervix? because i am wondering if that is what i have, my labour came on very spontaneously and fast with no bleeding before labour. I have an appoinment on oct 7 hopefully my doctor can tell me what went wrong. I think if you have a cerclage put in the success rate is like 90 percent of carrying the baby to term but you will be a high risk pregnancy and most likely be on bed rest, sad but it will be worth it in the end to have a baby at term.
