Low Progestorone How Do You Know

How do you find out if you have low progestorone and need extra during pregnancies? Is it only if the doc will put you for lots of tests? Thanks

Easy way is to use an ovulation predictor kit... when you have a surge ovulation occurs the next day. Count the days from O day to your next period. If it less than 12 you have a progesterone problem, as it is the progesterone which stops your period coming to soon. if the phase is too short the fetus does not have time to implant. i did mine this cycle, it is 14 days and i am 43 years old (worrying about nothing). Also the length of time from the first day of period to ovulation varies, but the time from ovulation to next period is the SAME every time, it is the luteal phase, so if yours is 14 days and your period is not there by day 15 you are pregnant... well that is the theory... i am on day 15 after ovulation with negative preg tests... so we will see if it is the truth! :-)
