Luteal Phase

How long would the average LP be if I normally have a 28 day cycle and about a 4 day AF. It doesn't have to be exact just a good guess.......

From the time I O after my mc to the start of AF it was 11 days. Is that how long this LP should be? (that was NOT counting the day of O or Day 1 of af) I was just thinking about when I could test and if First Response does it 5 days before your af then that would mean I could test at 6dpo?? That doesn't sound right?!

That's a normal length of an LP, which is anywhere from 10-16 days. The statement FR makes is sort of a crock, and if you read their fine print, you realize that. It can only pick up HCG after the embryo implants. Some pregnancies implant early, like 6 days, but most are more like 8-12 days. You most definitely maximize your chances for getting a result you can feel confident in if you wait until the first day of the expected AF or wait until 17 dpo, just to give AF a full chance to show up. I speak totally from experience. I tested like crazy with baby #2, even though I somehow knew I was pregnant, and used six(!) FR tests. All were negative until the first day of the missed AF when I finally got a positive. So much for them being able to detect the pregnancy hormone earlier than the others! With this new one, I tested on 14 dpo with those supersensitive ones from babywishes and got a negative, but it was positive 3 days later. It depends on when you implant, and you have no idea when that will happen, so don't make yourself nuts or broke testing :)
