Miscarriage 2

First was blighted ovum, discovered at 11weeks, April 6 2006. This time - I just flushed an embryo down the potty. I did not even know I was pregnant - 16 days late, but had been too afraid to test. I feel none of the emotional trauma that I felt with the first one - in the process of getting a divorce, so a child at this point was unwanted.

becky - i'm so sorry to hear you are going through this, though it sounds like you think it may be for the best. I'm also sorry to hear about your impending divorce. i'm hear to lend a sympathetic ear if you need to vent...

Oh, Becky, I am so sorry. I wondered where you have been...I 'm here if you want to vent too. Divorce is extremely hard and even though what happened with the pregnancy was best for you, it still would be a shock. {{{HUGS}}}

becky...... the lack of emotional concention that you're feeling is understandable. i was there with my first m/c. that was when i found out my ex dh didn't want children and told me to get rid of it. our relationship went downhill from there. i know it was for the best that the m/c did happen now. big hugs and a whole lot more.

Thank you for the kind words everyone. I think I was in shock last night, now it is starting to hit me a little more. I'm sad, but it is not tearing me apart like the first one did.

Oh my goodness becky i am so sorry for everything you are going through. I am going through my 2nd m/c now (blighted ovum) Lots and Lots of (((Hugs))) take care and will be thinking of you xxx

BeckyBunny - February 16

Hi Ella. I was wondering what had happened to you. have you had the D&C yet? How far along are you? You might want to wait a while....blighted ovum is commonly misdiagnosed around 8 and 9 weeks, but once you get to 12 there's pretty much no hope. =( I am melancholy about this miscarriage, but I know it's truly for the best. ((((((hugs))))))) to you as well. We will heal in time.

Hi Becky, well i went in for a scan at 7wks 6days there was just a sac that was 5wks 6days, i went back in at 9wks 2days and the sac was measuring 6wks so no development, there was not even a yolk sac. I have been spotting on and off for the past week and getting some brown bleeding my b___bs have stopped hurting so i know i am going to m/c i will leave it a week then i am going to see the doc, i hope m/c naturally. Dh and I will keep trying and will be going to see a specialist in early May.

Becky I posted to you on the other thread but just wanted to add that I'm really really sorry that you're dealing w/ a divorce too. Just let yourself feel whatever it is you need to feel and don't feel bad. There is no "right way" to feel at this pt. If you feel "ok" about everything that is just as fine, as if you end up feeling really sad too. Again I'm sorry that you are going through all of this. I'll be praying for you. HUGS honey.

BeckyBunny - February 17

I'm sorry, Ella. But, at least you are showing signs of m/c naturally. From what I have read, women who have a blighted ovum hardly ever have natural m/cs. Sarah, thank you. I'm actually quite happy with getting a divorce, I have put up with being abused for a couple years now, because I thought no one else would want me. I know now that that is not the case. anyway, thanks for posting here, and thanks for your support. ((((((((hugs)))))))) to all.

Hey Becky, just checking in to see how you are, i am still bleeding on and off but it is red now, i am seeing my doc on Friday and see what he says on how long i should leave it before i have to have a d&c, im also getting blood tests done for my specialist doctor he's testing prolactin, thyroid, clotting, blood glucose levels and antibodies so i guess thats all they can do right now. We got a puppy the day we found out that i was going to miscarry again he's a shihtzu x maltese so gorgeous. Take care and ((Hugs)))

Hey Ella, I am doing ok. I had cramps so bad for 3 days that I had to take heavy duty pain killers, but the bleeding is starting to let up. The puppy sounds cute, is it a boy or girl? what did you name him/her? Let me know what you find out from your doctor.

Ella82 - February 20

Hey Becky, good to hear that your bleeding is easing up. I started getting really bad cramps today and in my lunch break i pa__sed lots of blood and a huge clot the pain was so bad i couldnt stand up. I was lucky that my bestfriend was there (she works with me) she had to call her dh to pick me up and take me to my parents as i live too far away from my work and i was in no state to drive, my dh picked me up from there later on. The cramps are starting up again now. I will ask my doc if i can get cleaned out (by suction) i think i need it after 2 m/cs so close together. After that i want to start trying again after my first af i am going to ask my doctor if he can perscibe me with progesterone supplements so i can take post O and i will also take a lose dose aspirin it doesnt hurt to try, i cant risk falling pregnant again without doing something and also before seeing my specialist doctor which i cant get to see till May. My dog is a boy and dhs boys decided to call him Cocoa because he is a chocolate brown colour here is a pic of him i131.photobucket.com/albums/p312/Ella822/cocoa2.jpg (remove any dashes if any come up)

BeckyBunny - February 21

You may not need to get "cleaned out", since you are m/c naturally. The first few days were the worst pain and blood wise. Still spotting some here...dark red, but not much of it. The puppy is adorable!! Your doctor might advise you to wait before trying to become pregnant again. sometimes getting pregnant right away increases the chance of another miscarriage. =(

Ella82 - February 21

Hi Becky we wont be trying again till April. I saw my obgyn today he did an u/s and looks as though i have pa__sed everything on my own and probably have about a weeks worth of bleeding left. He also did some bloodwork for a few tests and will get those results early next week if i am given the all clear i can start ttc again when i am ready. I also got a presciption for progesterone cream just a low dose a day (60mg) to take during my luteal phase. Yes puppy is very cute he is playing up right now i saw him dragging dh's tie across the living room!!!
