i had a missed miscarige at 12 weeks i had a scan because i was bleeding and the doctor told me that their was no feotus but i had not actually miscarried untill the following day so what happened to my baby

Not sure if you maybe had a blighted ovum? This was the cause of my 2nd m/c. The sac and pregnancy tissue form but the fetus either doesn't form at all or is reabsorbed very early on so when a scan is done there is just an empty sac. This is what I had and it's horrible. I was scanned a few times with a week in between but it was definately empty. (my hormone levels were also far too low and barely changing) Unfortunately blighted ovum is a very common form of miscarriage. I might be wrong but it sounds like it could be that. I'm so sorry for your loss and am thinking of you. The phrase "blighted ovum" sounds a bit clinical or something to me but it's just a name - either way that was your baby forming in you and they were precious and important xxx
