My Doctor Is Making No Sense

I was reading below about HCG levels. When I miscarried at 9 weeks the doc said my levels were once at 7 then at 3. Isn't that kind of low or does that mean I miscarried long before I got checked out? Then one doctor told me that anything under 10 was considered negative?????? Does this makes sense to anyone else?

Hi Meg. Are you the same meg who posts on the GOING FOR JULY?AUGUST...thread? I do too! Doctors suck. Plain and simple. They are confusing and insensitive and completely unhelpful sometimes. When was it that your levels were at 7? That is extremely low. I would be tempted to say your m/c happened before that level readout at 7, in which case it could have been a "missed miscarriage" that you just didn't know about until 9 weeks. I am so sorry. It is such a difficult and devastating thing.

yes. when i first went to the doctor mines was 18 then the next week it was 0. i guess it just mean the process of a miscarriage.

My level was up to 32,000 at 6 weeks and I still miscarried! So I think that your levels were very very low and you probably miscarried before then.

I think you have to have over 25 to be considered pregnant at all. I bet your doctor was talking about progesterone, not HCG levels. Under 10 would be dangerous.

YOU ARE RIGHT IT IS THE PROGESTERONE LEVEL I WAS TALKING ABOUT. I WAS 6WEEKS AT THE TIME OF MY MISCARRIAGE AND THE DOCTOR SAID IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE IN THE 40'S OR ATLEAST 40. SO EITHER WAY I MISCARRIED.
