My M C Story

I was 12 weeks pregnant three weeks ago. I went in for my second ultrasound (heartbeat was successfully detected at 8 weeks) at 12 weeks and there was no heartbeat. The fetus only measured 9 weeks. I was surprised at the turn of events b.c almost every website and even the dr told me I would know if I miscarrying b.c I would experience both bleeding and cramping. Neither of those occurred. I had my D&C Nov 10th and was still bleeding at my two week checkup. A blood clot was detected in my uterus measuring about 16mm. HcG levels also measured 700 at that time. Dr prescribed antibiotics in the case of infection and also three more days of Methergine. Returned to the Dr 5 days later and blood clot measured 9mm, HcG levels dropped to 350. Dr considered doing another D&C but decided to wait and see if blood clot would pass naturally. In the meantime, we are "wait and see". I continue to bleed but actually welcome it at this point b.c I want the clot to pass. Just thought I would share my story as I felt I was the only one going through this and don't want others to feel the same

I am so sorry. I know what it feels like to loose a baby. I went through almost the same exact thing as you, I went in, no heartbeat - I did not have to have a D&C because I started cramping and bleeding 2 days later. I know how you feel, just wanting it to be over. Again I am so sorry for your loss, If there is anything I can do to help you through this let me know.

I miscarried at almost 9 weeks. I too, had no bleeding or cramping whatsoever. No sign of a miscarriage at all. I felt no different. So it was a true shocker when we saw no heartbeat and confirmed it was a miscarriage. Had the D&C two days later. I had one day of bleeding and still no period. My D&C was 5 weeks ago, so I am getting very anxious about this!

Hello ladies. I am so sorry for each of you, miscarriage is such a terrible thing. We lost our first at 8 weeks (after lots of bleeding and cramping and an ultrasound that revealed a very unhealthy baby). I just lost my second this weekend at 9 weeks, even though we had seen the heartbeat less than a week earlier and everything looked perfect. There are just no answers and it is so heartbreaking. I am so glad you are sharing your stories and finding support in each other. This is definitely the right place to be! I wish you all the very best on your next attempts. I hope you will find at least a little comfort in knowing you have an excellent chance of successful pregnancy next time. My best to you...xxoo
