Postitive Hpt

Q - September 28

Oh my god. I just took a hpt and I got a faint line. I've had two m/c's - one in feb, waited a month to conceive, and a second m/c in aug (d&c), had a period, and we have been using condoms until we decide to conceive again. But i got a positive test today and I am freaked out. We were thinking of waiting until Feb to try again, as we are getting married in feb. My hands are shaking right now. I want to have a healthy baby. If anyone (especially Alison!) is out there and can send some prayers my way I would be very grateful. Anything positive. I am going to get a blood test done to confirm things. You guys have helped me through two miscarriages, and I need all the support I can get right now.

Q, I'm in the same boat as you. M/C in Feb. and again in July. Had bfp on 9/22 & dr. confirmed on 9/23. I'm so scared it's going to happen again. I've still been taking my temps every morning. I know I don't need to, but it makes me feel better every morning to know my temps are still up. Do you have any advice on dealing with the stress? I hope things go well for us both and I am sending a prayer your way.

Anne, the only advice I have is to stay positive. I'm taking a few courses at university, and there's strong proof that positive thoughts lead to positive actions. Ok, yeah, that's all I have. I am still scared. I haven't confirmed anything with a doc, and the line was really faint, but I will retest tomorrow. My doc is on holiday until oct 3. Eat healthy, get light exercise, try to keep your mind off of having a miscarriage. I hope everything goes well for you too, keep me posted!

Q, I've just found your post, and I too m/c in August and had a D&C on 22/8. We started ttc straight after the bleeding had stopped and this week i have had 3 positive tests. However, i have spoken to my doctor and he seems to think it can take 4-6 weeks for your HCG levels to go back down? He advised me to wait another week and do another test. Let me know how you get on. Figers crossed for you stay positive you are not alone!
