Progesterone Supplements Safe

I miscarried on 6th week on 13th February. Today I had follow up appointment with my gynac, she said I am good to try again. My Progesterone levels are low so she advised me to take natural Progesterone supplement (va___al). I should insert the supplement after 2 days of ovulation. Has anyone heard of this before? Is this safe? Does this help ?

Completely, 100 percent safe. There are other long threads under Pregancy Complications that cover all you need to know. Good luck.

It definitely helps if your progesterone is low. And it certainly doesn't hurt anything even if it isn't low. There is some research to show that even if your progesterone isn't low, the suppplementation can protect the placenta and help it grow in those first 8-10 weeks. After 3 miscarriages, I started using it two days after ovulation and continued using it until I got a positve pregnancy test or until my period started. If you don't get pregnant that month, it may make you period a few days late. Once I found out that I was pregnant, the doctor incresed my dose, but alot of doctors will have you continue with the same dose. I stayed on it until 14wks. Good luck with your next try.
