should i be concerned that almost 4 full weeks have passed since i started having a natural miscarriage. and while the bleeding did seem to taper off for a minute, then start again, leaving me to think i'd started my period. but that was two weeks ago. I have had a day here and there where i didnt bleed at all but it always comes back. its not heavy, only notice it when i wipe, and only need a panty liner. anyone else out there with a similar story?

so today i broke down and bought 3 pg tests. i wanted to see if i still had any hcg in my system, to figure out for myself if it was af or still m/c. well the test came back with a faint second line so i guess its still blood from my m/c. this is so ridiculous. i wish i would have just said ok to the d&c when it was offered to me 4 weeks ago. so judi... are you going to ttc again immediately?

Oh Jess, I just happened to see this post. I just suffered a m/c myself last Monday. I had a d&c, but let me tell you what I am experiencing now. I went today for my f/u visit. I have still had light bleeding and cramping. My temp was 99.2. They did an u/s, and I had a small amount of retained fetal tissue after a d&c. Are you cramping or having a temperature? I have heard that many women bleed for weeks after a m/c. My doctor wasn't so concerned about that, but the severe cramping and temp worried her. I am truly sorry this happened to you. Trust me, I know how it hurts especially when we have been ttc so long. The physician said to wait until the hcg level has gone completely down (I had a level drawn today). I also need to have a cycle, which she ordered Prometrium to get started since I have PCOS and irregular cycles. I am not sure when we will start ttc again. They are wanting to try Clomid with my 1st cycle. It is all very scary and confusing. Trying to move on and yet, trying to let go of something so special and wanted. Please know I am here for you. Let's keep in touch and support each other. We need it. - Brandy

billsgirl, that totally sucks. sorry you have to go through this. it's so frustrating that you haven't finished bleeding from your mc. i am frustrated that even though i finished bleeding, i still don't have af and the dr suggested i wait 2 cycles before ttc again. i lost my baby when i was 17 weeks along so the dr said to wait 2 cycles whereas women who mc in their 1st trimester, she tells them to start ttc right after the 1st cycle. when will you start trying again?

kobysmom - you have to excuse me for my i ignorance, but what is PCOS? you mentioned it in the other post too and i just didn't get around to looking it up. maybe you can help me understand. and don't worry, as i always say... time heals all wounds, but the scars will always remain. so although you will eventually feel better, you will always have a certain pain about your baby. i don't think that's a bad thing, this pain will never let you forget and i doubt that you would want to.

Hi Judi, good to see you here. No worries, lots of people do not know what PCOS is. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It very complex and has to do with being insulin resistant, increased male hormones, lack of/or decreased ovulation, etc. It is more of an endocrine disorder that affects reproductive ability. I have started ovulating from being on Metformin which helps my tissue be more sensitive to the insulin in my system. This is very brief as you could write a book on it.

brandy, i am so sorry for your loss!! And to you too Judi. It hurts so bad, but to have other ladies to share it with and be able to b___h and moan about it helps. brandy i dont keep up much with anyone lately, so im glad you found me. just sorry that it was here. yeah, you and i have been trying forever it seems. Judi, i only carried 7 weeks and the pain was un-bareable, i couldnt imagine carrying 17 weeks. Im so sorry!!! i plan on trying right away, if my body would jsut cooperate. im praying that we all are with the very high percentage of woman, and fall pg again within a few months! (((hugs)))) to you both!
