DId anyone have testing after their miscarriage? My genetic tests came out that there was a chromosomal defect. There were 47 chromosomes. I am so scared to try again and worried this will repeat itsself. I am having genetic testing done but scared even for those results. Anyone? Please help. I had two chemical pregnancies and i worry this was the cause of those as well.

I wish I had some testing done after my 2 mcs. I am now so scared of getting pregnant again (we are ttc) but it's almost worse not knowing what the causes were before so I have no idea of future risks. I honesty don't know if there is a way for us to get completely over our fears until we have successful full term pregnancy, so I hope you have a healthy bundle of joy soon.

Hi gals: I had some testing done after my 2nd miscarriage (for lupus anticoagulants and thyroid function) and they were both normal. A chormosome problem 99% of the time is a completely random act of nature, so try not to worry too much about it happening again. However ricky, if you are having chemical pregnancies and the egg is not implanting, it might be a good idea to talk with your doctor about progesterone deficiency and possbily trying supplements. For lots of women on this site, that has been the key to help their little egg implant! I hope all goes well for you next time around, I'm so sorry for your losses. JENN i know exactly how you feel. I don't think there is any way to get over the fear then to have a healthy pregnancy, so keep trying! I wish you all the best the next time around. I've found at least a little bit of comfort in that, if the docs are right that I'm really just having bad luck and that's all, I have a great chance on the 3rd attempt. Take good care. xxoo
