Sadly this past christmas day my sister gave birth to a still born baby girl. She was so sweet and perfect and we are all devistated by this loss. My sister is handling the loss well, though she has her moments of dispare, and moving on with life. My husband and i had decided previously that we were going to try to have a baby but i wanted to hold off a bit as the greif was still to raw. I am wondering at what point it would be ok to start trying? I really dont want her to feel sad after all she has been through.

It is very thoughtful of you to be thinking of how your sister will be able to handle the news. I don't think there is any right or wrong time for you to start trying for a baby. We lost a still born girl (our first pregnancy), at the time my sister was also just pregnant with her first child. So, that was a bit difficult for both of us, but it was still wonderful for all of us when she had her baby girl. Both my sisters and I have also had miscarriages and other successful pregnancies and we just know that we are always there for each other whether it is good or bad news.
