Ill sit with you! I am hoping for a Jan. baby :) I just recently lost my baby the other day! My hubby and i found out Val- Day that our baby had a cystic hygroma! Which i am only 22! Cystic hygromas are found 1 in 6000 pregnancy! My doctor has only seen two in the last 25 years. Last week i had went to get a amino done to find out the baby had no heart beat! I was suppose to be 16wks, but it was dead at 14. They induced me thurdsay and i delivered and then right after had a D&c done. Mentally i am ok.. i trust in God and he knows what i can and cannot handle. I am very sad, being this is my 1st pregnancy! So i am hoping for my period soon and in the next cycle or two i will be trying again. I would love to have the support!! Lets hury up for our AF to come. ( i thought i would never say that :) ) BABY DUST

Hi brook, when the hospital did things to the tussue of my 1st pregnancy it took aboutb 2 to 3 weeks for me to hear the results. What u can do is ring the hospital that did the d&c and teel them that u had a d&c done and u were woundering if the results are. They most likley not tell u the results but they should say yes or no that they are in. If so see if u can get the rsults to ur gp and they should tell u. if u do this can u tell me how u got on it would be great as im sticking by u. And it should not take long for the hcg levels to go down eaither about a month or lil more. Good luck and let me know how u get on. Very very sticky baby dust to us both!!!!!!!!

My doc wanted to see me in 2 wks, i guess to see how i am doing ( healing wise) So i am hoping for results and more answeres then. I cant wait till AF comes again! I am not bleeding much at all. Its not enough to even fill a pad up! Which my doctor was surprise that i had little bleeding! So i guess that is good. Have you stopped bleeding? if so how long does the bleeding last for? i know its differ for each person! Well i will let you know what i find out on the results.. and i am feeling ok mentally and healing physically.. just not ready to deal with the people at work just yet! I dont think i can handle it just yet. But i really want to try again and my hubby does too! As he has not had any in awhile due to high risk and all. ill keep you posted.. and i hope that you get you AF soon :)

Hey brook, With my 1st d&c i was spotting for like 6 weeks i was 12weeks preg whan i found out that no heart beat. The doc told me it was normal its like after u have a baby. Well the miscarriage i just had was a spontaneous but they did a d&c at nine days of bleeding as it was only getting heaver. I spotted for 2-3 days after d&c and havent spotted since. May i ask you with out getting affended what exactly is the pregnancy that u have just had? If emotions are still raw never mind but i would like to undersatnd more about it as it is very rare and i have never heard of that sort of preg b4. Well good luck at the doc and have fun with hubby lol!!!!

Its called a fetal cystic hygroma. Its where there is a bubble with fluid that grows normally in the neck area of the baby. Its usually cause my gentic mutation.. like turners or downs.. or it could be a general defect of the heart, lungs. It was a girl, so we are leaning towards turners. Its not common and it only happens 1 in 6000 pregnancy. I was told that the chances of that happening again is like trying to win the lottery. Its more common in women over the age of 35. Usually the fetus dies within the first couple of weeks, as mine didnt.. i guess i was hoping that everything was going to be just fine.. but God knows what you can and cant handle.. and i guess he just knew that i was going to terminate my pregnancy if it was any defect. I just never thought that this would happen to me.. so now i am just hoping the best on my next try :)

Hi Brook, I know what u mean bout 1-6000 and it not happening to u i felt the same with my preg 1-2000 it makes the satistics feel real small when it does happen to u. My pregnany is mainly commin in ages 35+, asians, ppl under 18, previous miscarriages and so on. I no exactly what u mean i no its sad to say but i look at it this way, things like that happen to the strongest ppl and i no this isnt nice but i tell myself all the time sum1 has to be that satistic and i happend to be me.

That is so true! Here i was a few months ago tell this to a friend who miscarried! And never did i really think that anything was going to happen to me! Boy was i wrong to even think that i could get away! Then when i found out i was pregnant.. my friend became pregnant again.. How exciting!! this would both be our first, and we can go through it together.. only to find out my baby has less then 50% chance of making it! So tables were turned on me. But i am not hateful in anyway.. it just has given me more strength. It has been complete hell the past month.. and i am just waiting and wanting a great pregnancy and a wonderful family. So i am not having a baby in August.. It will be Jan, or Feb :) I just wont be huge in the summer :) So i will pray to my little angel... and hope for the best in the next pregnancy! What is a molar pregnancy? if you dont mind me asking?

kristie - March 11

Hi Brook, A molar pregnancy is where 2 sperms fertalize 1 egg (SORRY ITMI) and it goes from there. There is to many gens in the conception and as the baby inplants the placenta out grows the baby. Because of to many chromazones the baby is full of a cancer (moles) that is pa__sed through the placenter and it adventually dies but the placenter still gorws and produces hcg hormones. If left to long the cancer can spread through out the body and u still have all the signs of pregnancy untill they do a d&c. There are actually two types of molar preg the one i had was a partialmole and the other one is a complete mole where the egg was empty but still fertalized and it grows like a pregnancy but there is no baby but all cyst like thing in the uterrous which is a cancer pregnancy to. You cant fall preg for 6 to 12 months past the d&c incaes they have not got all the cells out in the d&c and if your hcg levels go up in that time u need chemo. When had my 2nd miscarriage they thought it was another parial mole which there is a 1-2% chance of that happining too. I am so glade that it wasnt its the best news i have had since my 1st miscarriage.

kristie - March 11

Hi brook, I also had a missed miscarriage. I went to my 12 week scan to find that there was no heart beet and it had died at 9 weeks.

Brooke F - March 11

That is great that it wasnt a molar pregnancy! That is scary! Well i will keep you posted on the days to come :) As i am sure things will get brighter for the both of us :)

BROOKE & KRISTIE, I lost my baby at 28 weeks (stillbirth) due to a rare fetal disease called Fetal Hydrops. They didn't even find it until my 28 wk ultrasound. They admitted me the next day and they took her via c-section and she didn't make it. They said that she had only a 10%chance of making it. Fetal Hydrops babies are 1-3000 pregnancies. Have you heard of this before? I hadn't until it happened to me. My doctor had only seen one other case in his whole time of practice. They said that it didn't look genetic so it shouldn't happen again. This all happened in June/05 and we are now ttc again. I just thought it would be nice to talk to somone who experienced something similiar to what I went through.

kristie - March 12

Hi cindy, I think that my situation was bad till i hear storys like yours. I cant imagine how it would feel loseing a baby like that i amk so sorry. No have never heard of that pregnancy b4. May i ask what kind of pregnancy it was? My doc was the same and other doc who i have told about my preg and they are shocked and some dont sound as though they dont even no what they are dealing with let alone even no what they are doing. I also lost my baby in june 05 but found out in july 12 week scan that there was no HB. So Cindy may i ask how long you and hubby have been ttc for? I am still waiting for my af but it feels asthough they will never come! My hcg levels have gone to -tve so i due anytime soon. well get back to my cindy it will be great for u join in this topic. Baby dust to u!!!!!
