Hi Lindsay - common signs of miscarriage are red bleeding accompanied by cramping, pain in the lower back pain, sharp pains on one side of the abdomen or across the abdomen (possible ectopic), or sudden loss of pregnancy symptoms. Of course, having one of these symptoms does not necessarily indicate that anything is wrong. For example, it is estimated that about 25% of women will have some kind of bleeding during their pregnancies, but only 1/2 of those women will go on to actually miscarry. And cramping can also be quite normal in a healthy pregnancy as the uterus is stretching and growing. Low back pain can be the result of increased levels of progesterone. Pregnancy symptoms may come and go, or you may have none at all. The bottom line is, if you are at all concerned, call your doctor right away and set up a time for an ultrsasound to set your mind at ease. Take good care. xxoo
