When Did I Have The Misscarriage

Around the day I was suppose to start my period I had some brown spotting. The next day I had more brown spotting and filled about a pantiliner but nothing more. I continued to have some brown spotting when I wiped for about two days and then nothing. Nothing heavy enough to show on a pantiliner. About a week prior to this I had one very sharp pain in my lower left abdomen. It lasted about 5 seconds and went away. I had very, very mild period type cramps with a pain level of only a 1 or less. Was hardly noticable. I did not have any other pregnancy symptoms. I went in for a blood test to test my hcg level. It was 50. The nurse said I was prenant but that it was very, very early in the pregnancy. I was so exciting as we have been trying for about 2 years. The doctor wanted me to have another blood test 2 days later because my hcg level was so low and to check my blood type. They said it was nothing to worry about. My hcg level went down to 34 and the nurse said I was having a miscarriage and I needed to go in for an ultrasound right away. I did and the doctor said there was no sign of pregnancy and everything looked normal. They have asked me several times if I have any other spotting or bleeding and I have not. I still don't. What does this mean? Was the brown spotting I had at the time my period was suppose to come when I actually miscarried? Could I have a tubal pregnancy? Why am I not bleeding now? I see my obgyn on Wednesday but I have so many questions now!!! Thanks to everyone!!

Jenner, its sounds like you had ablighted ovum, ovum means egg, what happens is that you get preg and your baby for some reason didn't develope right your body absorbes the pregnancy back because it's so small if you can understand that. Look up blighted ovum on the net it will explain all to you so you can read it alone and take it in, ask your dr when you see them next week about it when you have read about it ok hope this helped its nothing to worry about for your future pregs so don't panic its just natures way we have healthy babies thats all. take care now and post us if need any help.
