Determining When You Are Pregnant

I have been doing alot of reading lately regarding preparing for pregnancy. My husband and I are going to begin trying in Dec 2006. The question I have is that from the reading I have done, it appears that you generally don't know you are pregnant until a couple of weeks into the pregnancy. Once you are ovulating and have s_x during that time, what is the earliest that you can find out if you are pregnant. I want to know if I am pregnant right away. It seems that you have to wait for certain hormaones to be present in order to take a home pregnancy test. Thanks everyone. A website such as this really helps those expecting and those planning feel great!!!

Usually 1 to 2 weeks is usually the most accurate, and you can always have a blood test to tell you sooner, good luck.
