Do You Still Become Fertile If You Re Pregnant

Basic stupidity will attract everyone huh? Well, thanks for stopping in, and listen, I know it may sound so very stupid, but I just want to know what ya think on it anyway. So, if you get pregnant, and say, the tests that you take are still negative so far, and you still keep checking your fertility monitor sticks, will it still show a reading of being fertile, or does that stop after you're pregnant for sure?

It's the lab tech again... this is a hard question to answer... you really don't "become pregnant" exactly on the same night that you have s_x. It could take up to seven days for a sperm to fertilize your egg. Most fertilizations don't occur in the uterus, but in the fallopian tube, while the egg is traveling from the ovary to the uterus. Then, you don't get a positive pregnancy test until the placenta is well established, usually 2-3 weeks later. There are hormone cycles that have to occur for your ovary to release an egg (this is when you are "fertile") These hormone cycles cease once an egg is fertilized an implanted in your uterus. You do not ovulate once you have an egg implanted. If you think you are pregnant, you are still having neg hpt's, go to the doc and see about a blood HCG test... only if you have missed your cycle.
