hi i had my period 2 weeks ago yesterday from april 4th to april 7th 2 days heavy then spotting i had s_x on my period 1 of the heavy days then i had s_x on the 8th which was a saturday. then on monday i get a faint positive on a pregnancy test and 2 more since. could these be false? can you ovulate so early right after your period? i have no signs but indegestion im very very stressed that these tests are playing tricks. they are the internet dip ones where u dip them in a cup but i didnt do that i peed on them would that give me a false positive? the test worked because the control line showed up. i have been trying for 2 years since depo provera but im very reluctant to believe these results. my periods are irregular and i have no idea when i ovulate i have tried everything but are these tests right? the faint lines have come up from a minute to under 5 minutes. all i need is various peoples opinions i have booked an appointment with my gp next week but as i say my period was only 2 weeks ago.

Can't you get a blood test without seeing the doctor before your appointment? Just go to a walk-in clinic (or your doctor's office) and ask to speak to the RN. If you explain your situation, they'll probably just give you a blood test without an appointment (or appointment charge). best to you--and let us know!

Oh, and make sure you ask for a quant_tative (not qualitative which gives only a pos/neg). That way you'll get the actual number of hCG. Many pos/neg 's cut off at 40. Most urine hpt's show positive sooner than that. Especially, this early, you need a quant_tative.
