Is It Possible To See The Dye Strip In A Test

I saw a VERY VERY faint line in a test I took two evenings ago. My husband couldn't see the line, but it was clear to me... just amazingly faint. Is it possible to see the dye strip in any test if you look hard enough? It was pink and appeared in the time limit.

So, I'm not the only one, huh? Here's what mine looked like. This isn't the pic of my test (actually the pic of my bfp with my son) but it's very close to this test. The pic was actually lighter than my bfp with my son, but it looks just like the test I took the other day. Check it out: http://tinypic.com/faq9mq.jpg

Erin, that is exactly what my last two tests looked like...I am not sure if it is a shadow or a faint positive line. I called my Dr. today and asked if I should come in and do a blood test and he told me to wait until monday and do another HPT... I am now two weeks late and would figure there would be a for sure line there...hope you find your answer!

Good luck to you Angela! My period is due on Monday, so that's the earliest I'll test again. Hope you get the result you want!

It still might be too early. With both of my children i didn't get a positive til after my period was due.

Its really amazing how many women ponder the results of a pregnancy test. They should change the rules, 1 line p/g 2 not lol. That looks like a very faint positive to me, here was my last test taken on 10-23 i havent seen any more positives since but i have stopped testing a few days ago. Thanks http://img394.imageshack.us/my.php?image=test10234to.jpg

I agree with Erin, You are pregnant! Call your doc. and a blood test done. CONGRATS!!!!!!

Erin***have you tested again lately?

Gia - November 5

Thanks ladies, that makes me feel so much better but the only problem is i had several positives in july and my dr told me they were all wrong. My tubes were tied back in dec so a pregnancy was unlikely but not impossible. Im gonna wait out this month, so far i have gotten periods since july too, thanks everyone for the support.

Erin - November 5

Did your doc do a blood test in July?

Gia - November 5

Hi erin yes she did and she said my numbers were so low it was like nothing was there so she said it was neg. When i asked her if it was a chem preg she said it was simply nothing, just the tests were wrong. I had 18 positive tests this includes 3 in her office, so we will see. I bought some more of the same brand so im gonna test again. I'll keep everyone posted, thanks ladies.

Good luck! Please do keep us posted. I'm beginning to get my hopes up about this thing and am afraid of being devastated when af shows up on Monday.

Ok well i bought another test and there is a faint line, showed up after the 10 minutes but the test is still wet. Ok lets see how many opinions we get on this one. Ok so we are famaliar with evap lines (in my opinion thats a load of hoopla cause its always been my knowledge that something has to react that chemical to get anything in the test area) with that said-do or can evap lines show up before the test has completely dried out? In other words, if the test is lets say between 7-10 minutes AFTER the allowed time frame, is it possible for this to be a positive? I was curious about this so I used plain water on a test (hey if evap lines claim to be from the test drying out then ANY liquid should get an evap and my water tests never did, actually nothing in the test area ever showed and when the test dried completely the control line was very light. This is just curiousity, just wondering other opinions. Thanks. Gia
