Ladies I Could Use Some Advice

Hi everyone. I'm going to tell my story; My hubby and I have been ttc since sept. '05 at which time I stopped taking Ortho-Lo after 7 years. My periods would come every month; sometimes a week late but it would always come. Now, I haven't had AF since March 22nd and all HPTs are BFN. I also had a blood test from my doctor (not sure which one it was) but it was also BFN. My doctor (without examining me) prescribed Provera over the phone to promote AF. I have had AF since I was 10 years old and NEVER needed any help getting it. My gut feeling is not to take it. I haven't taken an HPT since last week but again I am now 8 weeks late (This has NEVER happened to me before). If you would call them symptoms, I am only experiencing fatigue, heartburn (constantly) and the occasional gagging. Is it possible that all of the tests could be wrong? I am so reluctant to take the medication. Any advice would be appreciated.

Trinity, I would take the Provera. Some women who are coming off bcp have a good long wait until af returns. The provera is a progesterone supplement. It will not hurt you or the fetus if you are pg. Many doctors even prescribe this for women who are pg because progesterone helps build up the uterus lining, and helps the fetus 'stick'.
