I am due for my period in 5 days. I took first response pregnancy test because I had intercourse during my fertile time this month, also I am experiencing increased discharge, some cramping, and heightened s_xual desire. Due to all of these factors I decided to take the test this morning- it came out negative. Is it very common to receive a negative result and still be pregnant? The box claims that is can provide accurate results 5 days before an expected period. Since I am due for my period on Tuesday 1/8, I figure that the results are pretty accurate.

ignore what the box says. if you look at the instructions leaflet, you will see the results there. there should be a table saying what percentage of people get the corresct result at so many days before their period. its less than 50% get the correct result at 5 days before af is due.....the best time to test, is the day your af is due. good luck.
