I AM 24 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCIEVE FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND I HAVE BEEN ON FERTILITY DRUGS(SEROPHENE) ; EVEN A DOUBLE DOSE OF IT AND RIGHT NOW I AM 4 DAYS LATE AND HAVE BEGAN A PERIOD. I HAVE CRAMPING AS PMS WOULD CAUSE AND I ALSO HAVE SWOLLEN b ___stS AND VERY SENSITIVE NIPPLES. COULD I STILL BE PREGNANT? ALSO EVERY TIME I DO A TEST IT COMES OUT NEGATIVE. COULD IT BE THAT I DONT PRODUCE ENOUGH HCG? I FORGOT TO SAY THAT I ALSO HAVE BEEN PEEING ALOT AND I WAS TOLD BY MY OBGYN TO RECORD MY TEMPERATURE WITH A BASAL THERMOMETER. MY TEMPERATURE WAS ALWAYS BELOW 96 DEGREES AND DID NOT CHANGE WHENEVER I GOT MY PERIOD BUT OVER THE LAST WEEK AND NOW (WHEN I HAVE MY PERIOD) IT IS 98 - 98.5 DEGREES AND HASN'T GONE DOWN. MY OBGYN SAID THAT WHEN MY TEMPERATURE GOES UP AND STAYS UP THAN I AM MOST LIKELY PREGNANT. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE PERIOD AND CRAMPING? COULD I STILL BE PREGNANT?

Kiki - I sincerly doubt you're pregnant. It sometimes take a few weeks to a year for fertility medication to work and be helpful in conceiving. So please dont despair. Swollen b___sts and nipples are all period symptoms. Your temerture may be slightly elevated than normal during your period and before your period. Your temperature will also be elevated during your ovulation period. The period and craming is just a period. Your probably cramping (which is very normal for me) because its normal for you or because of the fertility drugs. When on medication which works with the ovaries you do notice changes. Its similar to birth control. However, if you do think you was pregnant then do a pregnancy test now. If the test is positive go to hospital. Good luck. :o)
