Has anyone had to pay for a blood test without insurance? I'm trying to find out how much it costs.

Hi jstar. If you're in the states, you might be able to get a free or very inexpensive blood test through planned parenthood or your local health department. Many areas also have very inexpensive clinics, mostly near cities. Another route is to call local docs, explain that you don't have insurance, and ask point blank how much a visit with the blood work will cost you. I use dollar tree tests because they cost one dollar. Good luck.

I've had to pay for 4 tests in the last month!! They were $118.50 each!!! The reason i had so many was because of the risk for an ectopic. I had my tubes tied a year ago so i was at high risk. My numbers weren't doubling and were staying in the single digits- 7 ,9, 11, 2. It ended in miscarriage! I would have tried to use my planned parenthood but my dr. never diagnosed it as a pregnancy!!! I guess he didn't want to feel like a failure since my tubes grew back together!
