Spotting But Tested Negative Please Help

Hi I had AF on the 7-13 Sept but saw spotting on the 6-9 Oct. My cycle length can vary from 15-53 days. I had tested a few times but all negatives as I thought the spotting would be a good indicator. Has anyone has the same experience before and found out pregnant later. Do you think I could be testing too early? I don't know how to make of this spotting if I'm not pregnant. I don't want to have anything wrong with me. Hope you have share and shade some light. Thanks.

Back in April I was 4 days late and tested every day and it was negative. I then had my period which was reasonably light, I even did a test during my period. About a week after my period I woke up one morning and just felt pregnant, I did another test and it was positive! My doctor insists that I must have been pregnant before my period as a test would not have shown up that quickly if I had fallen pregnant after my period. Unfortunately I miscarried a few weeks later but I don't think this had anything to do with this strange occurance. I spotted for 3 months with my first pregnancy and everything was fine. Fingers crossed for you!

Do you have any cramps or feel lightheaded? The last time I was pregnant & there was spotting I felt some pain in my lower abdomen. It turned out the pregnancy was ectopic. A HPT will NOT be positive for an ectopic pregnancy. So if you think you're pregnant, but spotting, see a doctor right away!

Thanks so much for your reply. I don't really have any cramping at all. I do occa__sionally have tingling sensation on the b___sts. I haven't got my period yet for the month and so I don't know if the hpt test result would change if I tested after my af. I really appreciated your replies.
