Hi everyone! I am 36 and still using Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo 28. Next month I am going to stop using it. I want to know what is going to be my luthal phase? On the pill, my cycle is 22-23 days. I dont know what is going to happen after stopping the pill? it is important for me to plan my pregnancy. Thanks for your help...

Hi Tuba. I think the only way to truly know your luteal phase is to get a blood test done for specific hormones. Every woman is different. Recently I heard (I don't know where, sorry) that it's not uncommon for a woman to ovulate more than once in a cycle, so that makes it a bit harder to pin-point. Hope this helps.

Hi Tuba, for me I stopped taking the pill in November. We tried around the time when we thought I'd ovulate and we were wrone. When my period came in Dec I noted the length of the cycle then calculated the next ovulation period based on the length of the cycle and it worked I am now expecting! So I guess u may have to watch and see what ur cycle will be without the pill then work from there. hope my experience is helpful to you.

Your luteal phase begins after you ovulate, when the follicle has released an egg and turns into a corpus luteum. You could use an ovulation predictor kit one month to figure out what happens when during your cycle.
