I am 16w 4d pg and experienced some slight and short-lived cramping on the right side of my tummy yesterday (on a couple of occasions). It was pretty localized. Not doubled-over type pain at all. Kind of a twinge but still uncomfortable. No bleeding but I'm still a little concerned. What do you think this is? Could it be stretching? I haven't really felt it before. I know it wasn't a "flutter" or anything. Thanks!

I had some bad cramping about my 17th/18th week. It happened over a couple of days and I never had bleeding. From what I've been reading, it's probably the body still stretching and doing it's preparation for this growing baby.

This is my fourth pregnancy and I'm almost 18 weeks along. For the past few weeks, I too have been getting the twinges and pains, sometimes not much, others more painful and they hang around for longer. It's just the uterus growing and stretching - anything that gives you major pain for a prolonged amount of time or a reason for concern, I'd go to your doctor though. Some women feel it more than others...I still wonder if everything is ok, and I've gone through it before...:)
