I'm 18w today and I think I've gained 15lbs....is this normal or high? I guess you could say I'm a little heavier than I should be (pre-pregnancy). What's your opinion?

Sounds normal to me! I've gained around that at 23w.

My doctor told me that a pregnant woman should gain 10 pounds by the 20th week. Sounds like you are a little over but I am sure your doctor will tell you if they feel this is a concern.

I am 21 weeks and have gained 14 pounds which according to my chart is normal. I checked your weight gain on my chart and it is on the high normal line. I like to use the weight gain calculator at realsavvymoms dot com (put a period where the dot is and don't leave a space, and dont forget the w w w) go to the pregnancy section and the drop down will give you an option for tools. This calculator calculates from your starting weight.

Thanks Ladies, I see my doctor this afternoon so I'll ask her - but she's all about gaining weight!! - the last time I seen her I was only up 1lbs...she was like "Are you eating?"....of course!!

I also would have to agree with lily. It all dpends on your weight gain chart. I am 20 weeks and have gained 9 pds. I wouldnt worry too much.

Don't worry to much. Everyone is different. I have gained about 24 lbs in 24 weeks and I mentioned to my doc and she said not to worry about it. She said "I don't worry about weight- as long as the baby is healthy and growing I don't worry about it."
