does anyone hear this very often? since i am a housewife i treat my husband like a king, from taking care of the house and pampering him when he gets off work with massages and stuff. he is super spoiled. i have only been staying home for 3 months now and it seems to be bringing out the best in him. but the only thing that stinks... is now when i have an opinion... he fights me to the death of it, battles me on the most trivial things. has to prove me wrong on everything, then uses the whole, "you don't know what you are talking about, you have pregnancy brain, you can't even remember yesterday." it is through the roof annoying! so i told him how i felt today from the lack of respect. and he still believes that i am hormonal and not making sense and his resolution is he will take it, (take the wrong) since i am pregnant and my sensitivity is enhanced due to the hormones! it is through the roof annoying when people don't take you seriously!! ahhh

You are certainly not alone. My fiance is wonderful and I love him to death and spoil him also; But he just insists on jumping on my opinions, trying to prove me wrong, and he even sometimes gives me the excuse when I get angry with him "I'll pretend you didn't say that, I know it's just your hormones, you're lucky you are pregnant and have that excuse" Blah it sucks! Oh well :)

I know I'm more hormonal and feel like a complete scatter brain half the time but lucky for me this is baby #3 so dh has learned the ropes and lucky for me he really just knows to go along with what ever.

Same here cobin289... this is also our 3rd so hubby has learned to keep his mouth shut (if he knows what's good for him!! LOL)

My hubby hasn't quite learned to keep his mouth shut yet, unfortunately... He keeps telling me that I better not use my pregnancy as an "excuse" for things - which I find incredibly irritating. It's possibly a reason, but not an excuse... for example - if I cry a little bit more, or have a little bit less patience, it's NORMAL because I'm PREGNANT. I'm not trying to be this way...

Hi evae777. I am currently three months pregnant, and I have to say....I truly have pregnancy brain. I was not like this with my first child, but Lord! Why can I not make any d__n sense? Please do not take this comment as me siding with your husband,(us pregnant women must stick together) I just found it funny. I'm sure that you are not having pregnancy brain, but hey...if he wants to let dead dogs lie because you are preg, let him. It's probably the only time any of us will have a man admit that we are right and that they are wrong! LOL! Hope things get better. (If not, you can always killem' and blame it on the hormones!) LOL

I have that same problem, Evae... It seems like if I forget something, or if i get a bit cranky or cry, everyone tells me "oh it's ok because you're pregnant" I know they are trying to be nice, but I don't want to pull the "P" card for everything. *sigh* WHAT will we do?

oh boy the excuse has not ended. he still uses it to make me look dumb. he argued with me 3 days ago on how the bottled water i buy for the home (DASANI) is c___p water. my resolution is to buy him whatever kind he likes but he wont let it end. sooo trivial that i snapped at him for stooping to such a feminine level of arguing. and im a grudgeholder so that makes it worse. i can t beleive sometimes how they can't budge an inch when they have nothing to lose. what makes it worse is i have a hard time nowadays making sense (usually i am very clever with my words). so i can't even explain myself without easily being stumped. grrrrrrr... i wonder sometimes if this is his comfort level & now i am stuck with a hypercritical man until i am old. it saddens me......
